ActionCOACH Tampa Bay co-founder Ford Kyes recognized this week as ActionCOACH’s World’s Best Business Coach
St. Petersburg – June has emerged as an eventful month for Certified Business Coach Ford Kyes, who owns and operates ActionCOACH Tampa Bay with his wife, Barb Kyes, and daughter, Juliet Kyes. Earlier in the month, the book that he co-authored with his wife and daughter – “OMG! What’s The Focus? A Guide for Building an Actionable Business Plan” – debuted and has already soared to No. 2 on the Amazon Best-Seller List. This week, the former hospital executive was featured in the “World’s Best Business Coach” interview series hosted by ActionCOACH founder Brad Sugars.

Sugars, who serves as the Chairman of ActionCOACH, recognizes the best business coaches globally in his interview series. In the interview with Sugars, Kyes detailed his engaging story of how a corporate downsizing that ended his tenure as Executive Vice President at BayCare Health System and led his family into the business coaching profession.

Ford and Barb Kyes met when they were Registered Nurses in Pittsburgh in the 1970s. They married, and when Juliet was born, Ford transitioned into a hospital administration role.
After the family moved to Florida, Ford Kyes served as president and CEO of St. Anthony’s Health Care in St. Petersburg and Executive Vice President for the 10-hospital BayCare Health System for six years. The corporate reorganization led Ford to seek a new opportunity, one that would allow him to build a business with Barb Kyes, who has an impressive business background herself. The couple learned about ActionCOACH through a franchise consultant and discovered that Entrepreneur Magazine named it the top business coaching and consulting franchise in the world. That led them to bring ActionCOACH to Tampa Bay.
